Summary

Calligraphy, like other arts, is built on a set of knowledge and skills, and those entering its field should know a great deal of them. Such as the motor skill related to the method of holding the pen and moving it on the writing surface with the force of pressure necessary for the required distance, and the technical skill related to the artist’s feeling of the writing space and how to interact with it and develop a real connection with the letters and immersion with the painting, and it also involves the perfection of the form and the proportionality of the letters that reflect the aesthetic images of literature, religion and community issues. . However, this art did not get its due attention, research, and codification in our country compared to other arts, in addition to the shortcomings of the process of counting Algerian calligraphers, which only mentioned some of the names working in calligraphy - and only - without a detailed translation of them, and without an accurate tracking of the modalities of their creative practices, not even register their business; Therefore, this attempt came to highlight the many aspects and unique characteristics of this art in Algeria.
This leads us to raise a problem in contact with the images of the immaterial aesthetic formation, its formation mechanisms, and its relationship to the human being, which appears in the sophistication of many Algerian calligraphers in the practice of this art, who drew, photographed, and excelled in forming their paintings through their signature of distinctive creations with an Algerian artistic touch, so their names shined in his sky and counted them. Specialists and the public are pillars of Arabic calligraphy in Algeria, so who are they? What are the modalities and modalities of their practices of this profession? What is the aesthetic imprint they left in this field? And how can the juices of their artistic experience be invested in developing the calligraphy school in Algeria?
With this problem, we will raise other related problems, which are as follows:
What is the aesthetic specificity in the formation of this art?
-Is the Algerian calligraphy the Andalusian calligraphy that Ibn Khaldun (d. 808 AH) said about him that he had overcome the other scripts in Morocco? How was the Algerian calligraphy distinguished from the Andalusian calligraphy? And to whom was the tradition and preference?
The city of Constantine is considered among the Algerian cities in which this line was found, and it was before that the direction of the Cyrene line was similar to the Levantine transcription, and Constantine was famous for some scribes and calligraphers such as "Abi Abdullah Al-Attar" and "Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Harkati" and "Ahmed Al-Talili" And others, until some writers compared them to Ibn Muqla (d.: 328 AH), so who are they? And what skills did they possess that earned them this honor and status?
What is the role that Arabic calligraphy plays in reviving and activating the heritage in Algeria?
